The Whisper Home, A modern day Prodigal Son story begins at the end in typical flashback fashion as Dave Patterson recalls the events of his return home with his psychiatrist after a three year absence . He tells about squandering his inheritance, which he requested early from his father to pursue a career in acting, but returned home with nothing to show for his adventure except a heroine addiction. This film depicts the parable of the Prodigal Son with a little Cain and Able and Esau and Jacob intertwined into a complex plot which proves to be a web of intrigue bringing the individual stories of several characters together for an explosive finale. This film describes the unconditional love of a mother and father and the rivalry between siblings. In the end, you are reminded how you never know when it may be your last chance to tell someone you love that no matter what they have done, you forgive them and you love them anyway.
The Whisper Home won Best Feature Film by the Florida Motion Picture & Television Association 2010 and City Film Festival 2010 as well as the Best Screenplay by the Phoenix International Christian Film Festival 2010 and Best Director by the Florida Motion Picture & Television Association 2010.
