I was blessed by Zac Poonen (CFC India) who preached at First Baptist Church of Liburn, GA this weekend. It was nice to be blessed by a famous pastor who did not take up an offering (or manipulate one). Those who want to give, will give. It was clear that he did not expect anything from the attendees except they be blessed. It was refreshing to hear the full gospel and the truth of God’s word. They even allowed comments from the audience afterwards and fed everyone lunch for free. His book table was full of books that cost no more than $5 and there were also free CD’s offered. Although he is internationally known, he did not strive to impress by wearing expensive clothing or boasting about his worldwide ministry (he was casual and unassuming). He did not arrive with an entourage (just his wife who was elegant, graceful and approachable). He did not insist on his authority (title) being acknowledged (it wasn’t necessary). Everyone referred to him as Brother Zac. There was a humility about him that was very refreshing. There was no applause after his teaching (because God received all the glory). It was an honor and a privilege to meet this truly humble man of God who knows the meaning of being the greatest servant and walking in integrity.
