Over the years many have ask me if I am a democrat or a republican. I have responded usually that I am an independent. I vote the bible, my conscience, for the betterment of society. I am an activist, and fight for the uplifting of my people, culture and religion. I support the poor and business, the freedom of speech and civil rights. Freedom of religion and the responsibility of societies to protect their citizens. Today I could not get this article out of my mind, so I thought I’d better write it. There are a few deal breakers for me, when choosing who I will support or oppose politically. As a Christian I am not called to be politically focused. Neither Paul nor Christ taught early Christians to be political, patriotic or to apply our efforts in changing societies. We are called to change individuals, to preach, teach and baptize. To be lights and the image of Christ to this dying world. Based upon this, there are 4 basic things that I cannot support because God would not support such policies, nations or persons condoning what He has condemned.
Restrictions to Christian Freedom of Speech and Conscience: It appears that Christians are now the only group not allowed to speak freely in this country. Our freedom to practice our religion is being attacked, our writings are being removed from the public square, capital buildings and history books. Our ability to say that we will not support some of the list below is being made into crimes, hate speech or being imposed upon us in the work place. While other groups can say “No, we will not be forced to remove our veils, scarfs, or other emblems of our religion,” Christians are being forced to do medical procedures, remove crosses, and not exercise their freedom of speech in the workplace, schools and public places around this nation. As a Christian, not only do I oppose restrictions to Christian freedom of speech and conscience, I oppose being forced to violate my God and conscience.
Abortion: Abortion is the killing of our children (now 55 million in the US). Of those under 25 years of age, 1/3 of the majority population are not here (dead) and ½ of the African American population are not here. Abortion is the leading killer of Black Americans and has killed more Americans than every war we have had combined. Why? For the sake of convenience, privacy or other excuses that will not mean anything when we stand before God. The economic impact of those “not here” is astounding. If you think about the housing, business, clothing and such that would have been utilized by those “dead Americans”, maybe you can understand why we are in the economic situation we are in. And that is not including the consequences of our actions from God who loves each of us and created every life. As a Christian, not only do I oppose abortion, I oppose being forced to fund it with my tax dollars.
Homosexual Lifestyle Acceptance: This practice that was illegal and an abomination just 3 generations ago, is now being forced upon our society as accepted and to be protected and embraced. It violates scripture, most societal norms, does not strengthen the family, which is the foundation of society, but instead helps to destroy it. It is not natural, normal, or accidental, but a learned or imposed behavior that destroys the self-esteem of the target of the practice. And, based upon the declared goals from the writings of the leaders of this practice, compete legal protection of the practice, and even the speech against the practice is to be protected. Their target is our children and they have been successful in indoctrinating them to their views through the media and even the public school system. As a Christian, not only do I oppose homosexual lifestyle acceptance, I oppose being forced to fund it’s education and promotion with my tax dollars.
Embryonic Stem Cell Research: This topic was been covered up by the media so well that many do not know what it is. Here is a better description for you. Fetal and embryo murder, mutilation, cloning and experimentation. This practice is not only legal in the US, but is now federally funded, and this wholesale killing and mutation of humans is being performed for the sake of medical, business and scientific agendas. I would not allow my child to be the object of mutilation, experimentation and murder nor do I want your child to be the object of it either. As a Christian, not only do I oppose embryonic stem cell research, I oppose being forced to fund it with my tax dollars.
These 4 areas cannot be “lessened” to not as important as the economy or who gets taxed more or less or if there is some other benefit to me or mine personally. Those persons who support these areas have pretended to be good moral persons of character. They want you to believe that these areas are not the big picture, that there is a lot more to discuss on the political landscape than just these 4, and to that I agree. But, if you are in support of these 4 areas, then I do not care about your other details, and your plans, ideas or your vision for future of our nation. Because God will destroy a people that practices these four. These are God provoking sins, that will not be ignored by the Almighty. God is judging America. He promised that He would judge all nations. If we want to fall as a nation and a people, then support those who would destroy the US. When you stand before God one day, giving your report of what you did in this life, will you say, “I love the things you loved God and hated the things you hated?” What you will say to God, is what matters.
