30,000 + 180,000 and Counting
The 30,000th video was just uploaded to trueGOD.tv. With one of the fastest cloud hosting Video On Demand platforms in the Christian broadcasting industry today, we deliver 180,000 video assets, video transcodes, thumbnails, closed captions and playlists in over 100 languages on billions of Internet connected devices around the world. Our goal is to continually update and structure our platform for the greatest global impact for ministries, mission societies, TV stations, film and music studios and other content producers to reach the world with high quality Christian content.
Closed Captions in 80 languages
We announced our Crowd Sourced Closed Caption system three years ago, which allows the community to add closed captions to videos, which are then converted into numerous closed captioned languages. Then, we added support and FCC compliant closed captions two years ago. In January of 2014, we enhance our closed caption system to be configurable, like on any TV, fulfilling the new FCC requirement.
Closed captions allows a ministry to have English based content available in other languages. We just upgraded the system to handle 80 languages. In the future, we will support 300 languages as new translations become available. We use machine translation to accomplish this, but once the translation has been completed, we can enhance, or correct the translation for clarity. For a fee, we offer human translation for content that needs the highest quality translation.
SSL Encrypted Broadcasting
Ministries can broadcast using our SSL encrypted players for both Live and Video On Demand (VOD) broadcasting by adding HTTPS on a page that includes our updated player code or by making a small modification on the player code. SSL websites, protected content or secure sites can now use our player for broadcasting. This is important for those in persecuted areas of the world where watching Christian content on the Internet may be monitored, filtered, and could get you jail time, tortured or death. This is a very serious matter. We were told about underground churches watching our content in a middle eastern country where you could not openly preach the gospel. Therefore, we decided that this is the time to complete this important feature.
For businesses, you can watch without the content being monitored, since it is encrypted from our platform to your mobile device or laptop. There are no warnings, just a simple connection. If you embed our player on your web page, and if your page is not secure, there may be a warning. But with proper SSL certificates you can use our player for a secure, end to end protected broadcasting solution for your kingdom endeavors.
Roku TV Channel App launched for Cornerstone Television Network
The Roku TV Channel App for Cornerstone Network was just completed by the development team at trueGOD. It has been approved and included in the public Roku store. Immediately, the new Channel increased the Internet video traffic and audience by 1000%. Thousands of new viewers added the channel in the first day, and over 10,000 in the first 4 days. Roku, Android, iOS Apps, SmartTV apps
We have developed smartTV and mobile apps for several years. The development team at trueGOD.tv can build custom apps for ministries, Christian TV stations and content producers at a fraction of the standard industry prices. Utilizing the latest technology and user interface techniques, we are pleased to use our tools and talent to broadcast your message globally.
Tiny – Special Option for Small Screens
We created a feature called Tiny for ministries that broadcast in areas where Internet access may be weak or limited. It is a simple string added to the end of your existing embed code to play the smallest streaming file of that particular video. It can be used for broadcasting to tiny screens as well, like watches or glasses.
Example: If your embed SRC code looks like this, //player.truegod.tv/e/a1b2c then just add ?tny=true . Your code will now look like this //player.truegod.tv/e/a1b2c?tny=true
Simple addition to existing features and can be added programably for those who know what that means.
Internet Radio – Live and VOD scheduled playback
We have been broadcasting and testing our new Internet Radio platform for the last few months. It is built using the same strong technology as our TV platform. Currently, we have nine Internet stations in operation broadcasting content from around the world. We look forward to seeing growth in this area as we continue adding stations. We are willing to sponsor languages other than English, but for non-English content, radio, like our TV channels come with a cost. Donations and purchases help us to develop and broadcast even further and with greater ability globally.
