During bible study tonight a thought came to me, “ask for help on what you are going now”.
We are currently renting a super computer for a few days to convert over 10,000 video files into the formats that will run on “anything”. We are preparing for HTML5 on our entire site, and the last step was to convert, and encode all of our videos currently in FLV into MP4, OGV, WebM formats. This step although technical, is needed to run on any device currently made, connected to the internet. This set of videos combined with our FLV formats, streaming, progressive broadcasting, apps and upgraded players, will allow us to broadcast the gospel on phones, any browser, any platform, on set-top boxes, game machines, anything connected to the internet. Every new video file uploaded to trueGOD.tv will be converted to all 4 formats as well.
It also involves more than quadrupling our storage cost, with the additional formats. So instead of 1 file we will need at least 4, (not counting 1-5 more for sizes of HD, SD thru mobile). So you can see that we need some help.
Broadcasting the gospel on the internet is not free. And although God has been faithful to provide for the work, I am being obedient and asking, “will you help us in this work?” Will you join with us, broadcasting in over 100 languages, the good news of Jesus Christ? If you can not help financially please pray for us, and if God does impress on you to give, do not delay. Thank you.

UPDATE (9/29/2011): We have run out out of the budget for these conversions. We will have to shut down the mass conversions using this super computer. We have got a lot completed, but the conversion of all 10,000+ is not done. We are not half way and no one has donated to help this effort. We thank you who have prayed, we will set this up to work on our normal systems, but it may take months to complete. We can revisit this in the future if someone donates specifically enough to try again. Also this month (September 2011) we will have served 230,000 videos for September alone.
