Minister Franklin Mayfield, born in 1961, born again at the age of 19, living in the gang ridden, drug culture of Long Beach, California. A Cincinnati native, who moved to California to go to Art School, but was captured by LSD, PCP, and numerous drugs, was miraculously saved, on his living room floor, accepting Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. He was delivered instantly from his drug addiction and he has never returned to addition again. God began to disciple him, personally, studying the word of God for hours daily. God moved him back to Cincinnati about 7 months after his conversion. And the first 2 persons, upon returning, Brother Franklin lead to Christ was his sister (Robyn Mayfield-Hayesbert, longtime member of Morning Star Baptist), and his best friend (Who is currently a Baptist pastor, Pastor Alfred Winters).
Baptized under the ministry of Pastor Calvin A. Harper, of Morning Star Baptist. Brother Franklin soon joined CURE (Christians United Reaching Everyone) as a part-time intercity missionary. While being trained in intercity ministry, street witnessing, and urban service evangelism, God called him to preach about the age of 23. He ministered under Pastor Harper for years, preaching and teaching bible studies, new members classes, prison ministry, Wednesday night, noon day prayer, and Sunday morning services. Working with Baptized Believers in Christ Church of God, Minister Mayfield oversaw a mission in downtown Cincinnati, at 13th and Broadway for over a year, preaching and teaching weekly. Minister Mayfield married, but after being abandon by his wife, while in the ministry, he walked away from Christ for 9 years.
During that time, he left the ministry, the church, and his faith. He knew one day, he had to return, but would not walk in hypocrisy; living in sin and in the church. Franklin became a successful businessman, doing work for many large companies, but was unfulfilled. In his own Damascus road experience, God shattered his life, family, and business, and he returned to Christ, on Watchnight at Music Hall in Cincinnati, under the ministry of Pastor Damon Lynch III of New Prospect Baptist Church.
Brother Franklin, worked in the church, and soon returned to the ministry. He worked diligently in street soul winning, ministry to the homeless, prison ministry, and teaching evangelism to members of the New Prospect. He was appointed as the minister of evangelism, by Pastor Lynch. He oversaw and worked with the membership in a range of ministry initiatives, including the Hallelujah Block Fest, Super Bowl Party for the Homeless, and the Friday Night Services. He traveled with Pastor to Kenya for a short term mission trip, supporting over 20 churches in Africa, preaching and teaching in churches across the country.
In 2000, God spoke to Minister Mayfield to move to Solid Rock Church under the ministry of Pastors Lawrence and Darlene Bishop. He informed Pastor Lynch, completed the projects before him, and resigned from the ministries he was involved in. At Solid Rock, again walking in excellence, he worked in the Media ministry, and soon was hired on staff, overseeing the computers, print graphics, network security, websites, and Internet broadcast of the church services. He was instrumental in the TV broadcast (SISTERS, and church services) and duplication ministry of products sold around the world.
The personal ministry of Minister Mayfield includes counseling, evangelism, mentorship; using advanced technology, preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in revivals and churches. He has preached in Kenya, Jordon and Papua New Guinea, spoken before ambassadors, negotiated with company presidents. He has taught as a professor at the Life Christian Bible Institute, and taught end-time curriculum from the School of Christ International. Minister Mayfield’s teaching, writings, sermons, are published globally. He is the producer of ministry websites for various churches, missionaries, and ministries around the world. His Love is for the Body of Christ, the lost, broken and the backslidden. The oppressed, possessed, and addicted that need to be free. And for the Power, Presence and Word of God revealed in today’s broken world. Minister Mayfield, believes the entire Bible, and is fundamental in his doctoral stand. And declares that Jesus Christ must be both Lord and Savior over your life.
Minister Franklin Mayfield, is married to his loving wife Arletia, has 4 children, Devin 30, Deanna 29, Eden 27 and Shekinah Glory 19. He was the IT Administrator at the 4,000 member Solid Rock Church, and owns a 21 year old Internet Development and Hosting company; EZ Internet Solutions, Christian Search Engine EverythingChristian.org, and is the founder of trueGOD Television Networks now 11 years and running.
